Unit 2 · Lesson 3

Using and disclosing information

5 steps. Each one is a short story and a question to answer.

A teacher wants to photocopy a page of a protected book for her class. Is that forbidden?

The law allows using protected works without permission in certain cases that serve education, culture and research.

Among them: copying for personal use as long as it does not harm the author, and copying inside educational institutions for teaching.

And non-profit performances. These are limited exceptions, not an open licence.
